Church feeling better about swing

Not only did he suffer a grade 2 concussion in a freak accident with Marlon Anderson, but he also became a father with the birth of his first son only a few weeks ago. The article takes a look into how hitting coach Howard Johnson has made Ryan Church his spring training project.

Howard Johnson had the following to say about Church:

"I waited until after his son was born, so he could have a clear mind," Johnson said. "It's just something I noticed since we got him, and after seeing him every day. I didn't notice too much last year. I think there is a lot more in him. He's untapped. He can be a better hitter."
