Duaner Sanchez unlikely to make opener

...This comes from Newsday.com:

Although Duaner Sanchez threw another inning yesterday, it's clear that the odds are stacked against him being ready for Opening Day.Sanchez hasn't pitched in a major-league game in 20 months because of two shoulder surgeries and seems to be, at best, two weeks away.

He still hasn't pitched back-to-back games, something relievers typically do toward the end of camp. "That will happen when the time is right," Sanchez said.

Pitching in a minor-league exhibition against the Cardinals' Triple-A team yesterday morning, Sanchez gave up only a leadoff double. His fastball consistently hit 91 mph.

"I feel great," he said. "That's all that matters."
